लखनऊ।, 04 अगस्त 2016 । (उ.प्र.समाचार सेवा)। आईजी रूल्स एवं मैन्युअल अमिताभ ठाकुर ने उत्तर प्रदेश में पिछले दस वर्षों में घटी बलात्कार की घटनाओं का वैज्ञानिक अध्ययन करने के सम्बन्ध में डीजीपी को प्रस्ताव भेजा है.
श्री ठाकुर ने कहा कि बलात्कार की घटनाओं को लेकर लोगों में गहरी संवेदनशीलता बनी रहती है और कई बार पुलिस पर गंभीर आरोप भी लगाए जाते हैं.
उन्होंने कहा कि उन्होंने आईआईएम लखनऊ में वैज्ञानिक तरीके से शोध कार्य करने की जानकारी प्राप्त की है, जिसके आधार पर वे प्रदेश में पिछले दस वर्षों में घटी बलात्कार की घटनाओं का वैज्ञानिक अध्ययन कर उनकी प्रकृति, प्रवृत्ति, पुलिसकर्मियों के व्यवहार और उनकी कार्यवाही तथा इस पर पब्लिक रेस्पोंस के सम्बन्ध में निष्कर्ष प्रस्तुत करेंगे.

IG proposes study on rape incidence in State

IG Rules and Manual Amitabh Thakur has sent a proposal to the DGP, UP for scientific study on the incidences of rape in the State of Uttar Pradesh during the last 10 years.
Sri Thakur said there is deep public sensitivity about the incidence of rapes and many a times serious allegations are made on police functioning in rape cases.
He said he has learnt the methodology of scientific research in IIM Lucknow and wants to present an in-depth scientific study of the rape incidences in the State during the last 10 years, including the nature, features, police response and police functioning along with public response to the police working in these incidences.
