Pratapgarh (UP): Raging fire engulfed
a large bakery unit on Allahabad-Faizabad
national highway around 2 pm this
afternoon, causing a loss of about 25
lac to the owner Bipin Agarwal.
However, the workers and labours came
out safe.
The
fire was caused by short circuit in
the outside electric poll from where
power supply was given, and by the
time it was noticed by the neighbors,
the entire building was surrounded by
smoke and fire. At least 5 fire
brigade units were engaged for about
three hours continuously before the
fire could be controlled. The national
highway was blocked for two hours, and
the traffic was restored only when the
fire came under control.
